"Busted Belt Bummer"
There's a strange process nobody really understands that turns a bad experience into something pleasant (for want of a better word) when it's transformed into art. People flock to the movies to witness murder, mayhem, heartbreak, war, and any number of other calamities they would never actually want to experience themselves. Maybe that phenomenon is behind the unvarying popularity of Dave's centerspreads known as the Pain In The Butt Series. In the present example, the hapless biker sees his worst fears realized - a defunct primary belt and his friends, unaware of his problem, about to enter the freeway mixmaster. Already he's got to be wondering how long it will take them to realize he's not around, and how much time will be required for them to backtrack through the concrete maze and locate him - if they ever do. I know the feeling. If life was a poker game, by now I'd have shot the dealer. After all, how many crappy hands can you write off to coincidence?
